Rodeo!

Last weekend, I went to the Crystal Springs Rodeo, my favorite rodeo ever.

I've also recently discovered a love of Picnik. Usually, the photos I post are raw. The artist in me wants to take photos that are art in themselves without being "made" into art through being digitally altered, but due to the low lighting conditions at the rodeo, these photos needed some help, and I decided to have some fun with them. The lighting gave out completely during the team roping, so no photos of that, the barrel racing, or the bull riding.

At the county fair this year, there will be a ranch rodeo - a more casual style of rodeo that includes more "real life" events like trailer loading, sorting, etc. I've never been to one, so I'm really looking forward to it! I'll be sure to take lots more photos then!
